Oeconomia is conducting an anti-malaria product distribution study in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on behalf of the consultancy firm hera. The overall objective is the integration of the Global Fund anti-malaria product procurement within the national system in Nord-Kivu and Maniema provinces. The study includes (amongst other things) a cost analysis of the services of central medical stores and a proposition for an integrated procurement model (based on a proposed economic model). The study ultimately proposes an implementation plan for the transfer of activities and responsibilities from the GF to the national system and stakeholders.
